Long-sleeved shirt in cotton khadi with a tartan pattern in which red and blue intersect, underlined by black lines. The shirt has rounded panels that are longer in the back than in the front, with a throat that runs from the neckline to the bottom of the shirt, underlined by an American button placket with natural mother-of-pearl buttons. The chest pocket, like the two-button cuffs and collar, is in keeping with men's shirt codes. Khadi is a fabric spun and woven by hand in Indian villages. Once considered the fabric of the poor because of its rural origins and irregular, coarse texture, khadi is now becoming more diverse, refined and supple. Its rarity, the irregularity of its weave and the beauty of its craftsmanship make it an exceptional fabric.
